The John Oliver Michael House is the perfect venue for your rustic country wedding! Our farmhouse is used for the bridal party to gather before the wedding and prepare for the big day!  Within the grounds, Ned Michael has built a beautiful white arbor, perfect for a ceremony.  If you prefer a more open and natural feel, or perhaps the backdrop of a large oak or pecan tree, there are other ceremony areas on the grounds.  Indoor ceremonies are held in front of  our antique brick fireplace in the barn, otherwise known as Oliver's.
Receptions are held in Oliver's or under a beautiful wedding tent.   All weddings package start with the basic wedding package, which accommodates up to 150 guests. Weddings with 150 guests or less can choose to have their reception in Oliver's, or choose to have a tent reception.  Weddings with more than 150 guests will add the rental of a wedding tent to the basic wedding package in order to accommodate the additional guests.

If a beautiful wedding tent is what you have always envisioned, there are two areas where we may set up a tent.  The JOMH can accommodate up to 300 guests, with the addition of a wedding tent and additional equipment.  Our Event Specialist will help you build a package to accommodate your wedding needs for weddings with more than 150 guests!  We will coordinate the reservations, delivery and set up of all additional rental equipment so that you can enjoy planning the fun details of your wedding.  For outdoor dancing, a dance floor is required.  For an outdoor band, a stage is required.   For tent and additional equipment prices, please contact the JOMH.

No matter which areas you choose to have your ceremony and reception, your guests will love the peaceful, charming and chic atmosphere of the John Oliver Michael House.
